Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) on Friday accelerated village-level infrastructure planning under the Amaravati Master Plan while reviewing the readiness of key government buildings in the capital.

APCRDA conducted Village Sabha meetings at Malkapuram and Mandadam in the North East Central-I grid to prepare the Village Circulation Plan and Village Integration Plan. Officials explained the Master Plan and proposed village road network to residents and invited suggestions.

Special Deputy Collector M. Seshi Reddy explained how existing village roads would be integrated with the road network proposed under the Land Pooling Scheme (LPS). Officials said surveys, including the Village Road Circulation Pattern Survey and LPS Road Network Survey, were under way to map existing connectivity.

The survey data will be used to prepare village road plans and guide future infrastructure development. Residents actively participated in the consultations and offered suggestions, which APCRDA said would be considered while finalising the plans.

Officials from the Planning, Development Promotion, Social Development and Estates departments, along with technical experts from The Urbanizer, attended the meetings. APCRDA said Village Sabhas would be conducted in phases across all capital region villages and appealed to residents to participate.

Meanwhile, APCRDA Additional Commissioner T. Rahul Kumar Reddy inspected the MLA and MLC Towers at the Amaravati Government Complex, which are ready for inauguration. He reviewed the interior and finishing works and directed engineering officials to complete the remaining works on schedule without compromising quality.

The next Village Sabha meetings will be held at Velagapudi at 11 am and Lingayapalem at 2.30 pm on August 10.
