Visakhapatnam: Social Welfare Minister and Vizag in-Charge Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy has reaffirmed the government's commitment to improving educational opportunities and welfare facilities for underprivileged students.

During the second day of his tour of the district, the minister outlined a series of initiatives to empower students and enhance infrastructure.

Addressing students, he emphasised the importance of hard work.

The minister announced that cosmetic kits would be provided to students from next academic year, to enable children from low-income families to become engineers and doctors, as was envisioned by the chief minister.

Highlighting the government’s focus on competitive exam preparation, the minister revealed that the number of NEET training centres for underprivileged students has increased from three to ten.

During his visit to the free DSC Training Centre at Dwarakanagar and the SC Hostel at Madhurawada, accompanied by MLC Vepada Chiranjeevi Rao, the minister inspected facilities and interacted with students. He promised them that repairs would be done and more amenities provided in the existing hostels.

Swamy distributed free DSC course materials to candidates, benefiting 3,400 underprivileged students.

The minister conducted a surprise inspection at the Gurukul Girls' School in Meghadri Gadda along with local MLA Ganababu. He addressed students' concerns, including a water issue, and called for immediate action. He announced plans to construct new SC hostels and Gurukul schools.
