AP: Special Aadhaar Camps For Students From Sept. 25
NTR district collector Dr G. Lakshmisha said the camps would cater to students who had not yet enrolled for Aadhaar and those requiring the mandatory biometric update (MBU)
VIJAYAWADA: The NTR district administration will conduct special Aadhaar camps at government and private educational institutions from September 25 to October 20 for school and college students.
NTR district collector Dr G. Lakshmisha said the camps would cater to students who had not yet enrolled for Aadhaar and those requiring the mandatory biometric update (MBU).
The programme will be conducted at schools and junior colleges to enable students to access the services without travelling to external centres.
The Swarna Grama-Swarna Ward department will oversee the campaign in coordination with the education department to achieve 100 per cent biometric updates, the collector said. Daily reports on services provided at each camp will be compiled to monitor progress.
Selected schools will be equipped with Aadhaar kits, trained staff and the required infrastructure to facilitate the camps.
Parents and students have been urged to use the camps to complete Aadhaar enrolment, biometric updates and other corrections within the stipulated period.
