AP Releases Rs.2,746.52 Cr for NTR Bharosa Pension Distribution
Minister Srinivas stated that for the financial year 2025–26, the government has earmarked ₹32,143 crore for pensions, of which ₹16,366.80 crore has already been released for disbursement from April to September 2025.
Vijayawada: Minister for MSMEs and NRI empowerment Kondapalli Srinivas, said that the Andhra Pradesh Government, led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, has released Rs.2,746.52 crore to village and ward secretariats for the distribution of pensions under the prestigious NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme on September 1. He said this would benefit 63,61,380 pensioners across the state. He also announced that 7,872 newly sanctioned spouse pension beneficiaries will receive their pensions from September 1, for which an additional ₹3.15 crore has been allocated.
Minister Srinivas stated that for the financial year 2025–26, the government has earmarked ₹32,143 crore for pensions, of which ₹16,366.80 crore has already been released for disbursement from April to September 2025. He highlighted that no other state in the country has allocated over ₹10,000 crore annually towards pensions. To ensure greater transparency, the government is delivering pensions directly to the beneficiaries’ doorsteps while recording their geo-coordinates.
Kondapalli Srinivas reiterated that under the leadership of CM Naidu, the NDA government in Andhra Pradesh is fully committed to the welfare and development of all sections of society. He said the NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme plays a vital role in supporting the poor and vulnerable sections, including the elderly, widows, single women, and the differently abled. He stressed that Andhra Pradesh is spending the highest amount in the nation on social security pensions.
