Tirupati: The annual Navaratri Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara are being celebrated with grandeur at Tirumala. The most important event of the festival, the Garuda Vahana Seva, dedicated to the Lord’s favourite mount, will be held on Friday (October 16) at 6:30 pm.

Because a very large number of devotees are expected, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Board Chairman BR Naidu informed that two -wheelers would be banned on both ghat roads for two days starting from today (Thursday) 9 PM on October 15th until 6 AM on Saturday (October 17), to ensure the safety of the crowds.
BR Naidu urged all devotees to note this and cooperate with TTD so they can have a peaceful darshan of the Lord.
The ongoing Brahmotsavams rush has led to severe parking constraints. Tirupati District SP L Subbarayudu appealed to devotees attending the Garuda Seva to park their vehicles at the designated parking areas in Tirupati and travel to Tirumala by APSRTC buses. He also asked devotees to follow the instructions of the police and the transport department for their safety and a smooth journey.
