Vijayawada:The Andhra Pradesh government will soon launch the AP One mobile application, bringing around 150 government services on a single online platform.

Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) CEO Prakhar Jain said on Tuesday that the objective was to ensure seamless delivery of citizen services and reduce the need for people to make repeated visits to government offices or approach officials personally.

He was inaugurating a two-day workshop organised by RTGS for officials from various departments to familiarise them with the newly developed application.

Jain directed officials to simplify service delivery and ensure that citizens could access government services from wherever they were. “Citizens should be able to access government services from wherever they are, without having to go around government offices or officials,” he said.

He said the government was using technology to move away from complicated traditional procedures. Mana Mitra WhatsApp Governance had already made more than 1,000 government services available and “received a positive public response.”

AP One will bring a range of services under a single platform, with the number of services to be expanded subsequently based on citizens’ requirements.

The application will have a dedicated search bar to help users locate services and will be available in Telugu and English. Citizens will also be able to download various certificates through the app.

Jain advised officials to ensure that services offered through AP One were delivered without technical glitches or unnecessary hurdles. He also asked them to familiarise themselves with the application and create awareness among citizens about its benefits.
