AP Invites Bids For Digital Healthcare Platform Under Sanjeevani Initiative
The healthcare platform would enable end-to-end healthcare delivery, from diagnosis to treatment, throughout the state, including in remote areas.
Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh government has issued a Request for Participation (RFP), inviting bids to develop a Digital Care Coordination and Healthcare Delivery System to provide medical services across the state for five years under the Sanjeevani initiative.
The RFP project is to create the digital healthcare platform covering nearly five crore people of the state.
According to the tender schedule, a pre-bid meeting will be held on July 27. The last date for submission of bids is August 14. Technical bids will be evaluated on August 19, financial bids on August 31, and the final decision is scheduled to be taken on September 7.
Indian agencies with at least three years' experience in implementing digital healthcare systems under national or state health schemes are eligible to participate in the bidding process.
AP Health minister Satya Kumar Yadav said despite substantial spending by the centre and the state on healthcare schemes, gaps remain in service delivery due to lack of coordination among the nearly 40 schemes, inadequate assessment, and the inability to monitor people's health status in real time.
Satya Kumar pointed out that the Sanjeevani programme had been developed on the directions of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. It has been implemented successfully on a pilot project in Kuppam. Following this, the government has initiated the process of expanding Sanjeevani across the state.
The minister said the Digital Care Coordination and Healthcare Delivery System would maintain digital health records of nearly five crore people, provide advance alerts on potential health risks based on medical history, facilitate timely healthcare services, and monitor whether patients have received appropriate treatment.
Satya Kumar said the initiative would enable end-to-end healthcare delivery, from diagnosis to treatment, including in remote areas, while helping reduce out-of-pocket medical expenditure for families.
The Sanjeevani initiative covers 12 key areas, including maternal and infant health, reproductive health, communicable and non-communicable diseases, mental health, dental care, eye and ENT care, trauma care, palliative care, and geriatric care, apart from diagnostic services and supply of medicines free of cost.
The successful bidder will be responsible for developing the digital platform to identify potential health risks among individuals at an early stage and support preventive healthcare measures across the state.
