AP Has Adequate Subsidised Fertiliser Stocks, Centre Tells Rajya Sabha
Fertiliser supplies are being monitored nationwide through the Integrated Fertiliser Management System (iFMS), with monthly supply plans prepared based on seasonal requirements.
Nellore: Andhra Pradesh, including Nellore district, has adequate stocks of subsidised fertilisers, the Centre informed the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday in response to a question by MP Dr Beeda Masthan Rao Yadav.
Union minister of state for chemicals and fertilisers Anupriya Patel said the availability of urea, DAP, MOP and complex fertilisers in Andhra Pradesh remained above requirements from 2023-24 to 2025-26 and was satisfactory during the ongoing Kharif 2026 season.
She said the state had also reported no shortage of subsidised fertilisers, particularly DAP, in Nellore district.

Under the Nutrient Based Subsidy scheme, the Centre released Rs 65,199.57 crore in 2023-24, Rs 52,810 crore in 2024-25 and Rs 74,999.99 crore in 2025-26.
Dr Masthan Rao said uninterrupted availability of fertilisers was vital for farm productivity and urged continued Centre-State coordination to prevent shortages.
