Government of Andhra Pradesh.

The Andhra Pradesh government has cautioned students and unemployed youth against fraudulent agents and training institutes allegedly luring them with promises of lucrative overseas jobs, particularly in Russia. The warning follows reports of Indian youths being deceived and subsequently forced into military-related activities.

According to officials, unauthorised agents are targeting job seekers, particularly in North Andhra districts, with offers of attractive salaries, easy recruitment procedures and quick overseas placements. However, after reaching Russia, some individuals are reportedly coerced into joining military operations or subjected to pressure tactics, including false legal allegations.

The government expressed concern over the risks to the safety and well-being of the affected youth and the distress caused to their families. It advised aspiring overseas workers to verify employment contracts, visa details, job profiles and the credentials of recruiting agencies through official channels before accepting any offer.

Officials warned that advertisements promising exceptionally high salaries, simplified recruitment procedures or guaranteed overseas placements within a short period should be treated with caution. They advised job seekers to pursue employment opportunities only through authorised and verified agencies.

The government urged the public to report suspicious agents, organisations or recruitment offers to the police or relevant authorities. Young people were also advised to avoid hasty decisions on overseas employment and verify job opportunities before travelling abroad.
