AP Govt Clears Registration of 9 Lakh Acres of Freehold Lands
The Andhra Pradesh State Government has granted permission for the registration of 9 lakh acres of freehold (pre-hold) lands.
Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh State Government has officially granted permission for the registration of 9 lakh acres of freehold (pre-hold) lands. The announcement was made by Anagani Satyaprasad, Minister for Revenue, Registration and Stamps, during a District Collectors' Conference here regarding revenue reforms.
He stated that, in accordance with regulations, registrations will now be permitted for 9 lakh acres of freehold (pre-hold) lands starting today. He added that a comprehensive inquiry is being launched into 4 lakh acres where irregularities have taken place. The minister said that 28 lakh acres which the previous government had added to the 22-A prohibited list in 2022 have already been removed from that list.
To make the process of removing lands from 22-A easier, the government has issued GO 444, he explained, while GO 445 has been issued to clarify the procedure for newly adding lands to the 22-A list.
The Minister further announced that, to provide a permanent solution to land-rights issues, the government is implementing the "Mee Bhoomi–Blockchain" technology project.
