Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has said that the people are happy with the welfare schemes being initiated by the TD-led state government. This view was based on feedback he got from a door-to-door survey under the Suparipalanalo Tholi Adugu programme.

The CM held a teleconference with the ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs and party leaders here on Monday. “We were able to successfully take up a door-to-door campaign in the state, through which we could reach 1.24 families at their doorstep and explain to them about a series of welfare schemes being initiated by the alliance government in the state.”

He said that this survey was done with the help of an app. Through this, the teams engaged in the survey found out which public representative visited which village, etc. “The people praised the public representatives and alliance leaders and gave their blessings to the government.”

Naidu cited the hike in social security pensions, Thalliki Vandanam, Annadata Sukhibhava, Stree Shakti, free RTC bus travel etc and called upon the party leaders and activists to explain about these schemes and programmes to the people.

On nominated posts, the CM said he would fill them up soon. “We would fill up posts of chairpersons of agriculture market committees and corporations,” he said.

Naidu flayed the “misinformation campaign” by the opposition YSR Congress party and its supporters and cited a “false propagation of inundation” of capital city Amaravati and other villages, diversion of water to Ponnuru, malfunctioning of Kodaveeti Vagu lift scheme pumps and of the Prakasam Barrage being in danger.” The attempt, he said, was to create panic among the people.

He felt the need to deal with the rowdy elements working under the mask of politics and called for expeditious processing to fill up posts in party committees by the end of August.
