AP Chambers Hosts MSMEs Quality Workshop
Scientist and deputy director of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Vijayawada, D. Vivek Vardan Reddy emphasised the importance of BIS quality certification for products manufactured in India, saying recognised standards improve consumer confidence and market acceptance.
Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry Federation (AP Chambers), in collaboration with the Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs of India (COWE) AP Chapter, organised an awareness workshop on ‘Zero defect zero rffect’ (ZED), ‘Greening entrepreneurship and the ecosystem’ (GEM), and Lean Management at the AP Chambers office here on Thursday, urging entrepreneurs to adopt quality standards and sustainable business practices.
Ketan Rai of Skil Express highlighted the importance of ZED certification in promoting high-quality manufacturing with zero defects while minimising environmental impact. Yaswanth, an authorised GEM trainer, explained sustainable business practices under the GEM framework and outlined Lean Management techniques that help improve productivity, reduce waste and enhance business competitiveness.
