Visakhapatnam: Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha paid glowing tributes to veteran cooperative leader Adari Tulasi Rao during her visit to Vemagiri village of S Rayavaram mandal in Anakapalli district on Sunday.


She described him as a visionary who transformed the lives of thousands of families through his dedicated social service.

Addressing a gathering after inaugurating a set of development works in the village, Anitha said Tulasi Rao had earned a special place in the hearts of people by standing as a pillar of support for countless families and working tirelessly for their welfare. She recalled her long association with him and said he treated her like his own daughter, offering guidance and encouragement throughout her public life.

The home minister lauded Tulasi Rao’s contributions to the growth of Visakha Dairy and the cooperative sector, noting that his efforts had helped strengthen rural livelihoods and improve the economic conditions of dairy farmers across the region.

The minister inaugurated the Dharmavaram–Yelamanchili R&B road, constructed at a cost of ` 70 lakh under NABARD funding, and the Sri Tulasi Kalyana Mandapam built with the support of Visakha Dairy. She also announced that `40 lakh had been sanctioned for the development of the village Ramalayam temple and reiterated the government's commitment to strengthening rural infrastructure and improving public services.
