Andhra University Receives Bomb Threat via Email
Police and bomb squad conduct extensive checks at engineering colleges; no suspicious objects found

Visakhapatnam: Andhra University received a bomb threat via email on Thursday morning, triggering a major security alert on the campus. The threat mail was sent by unidentified persons to the principals of the AU College of Engineering and the Women’s Engineering College.
Acting swiftly, Andhra University officials informed the police and the cyber crime wing. Police, along with bomb disposal squads, immediately carried out thorough inspections at the AU College of Engineering and the Women’s Engineering College.
After extensive searches, no suspicious objects or explosives were found, and the situation was declared safe. University authorities have requested the cyber crime department to conduct a detailed investigation to trace the source of the threatening email.
Security has been tightened on the campus as a precautionary measure.
