Andhra Pradesh: Photo Electoral Rolls Published For 1,971 Wards In 41 ULBs
The 12 municipal corporations have 860 wards, while 29 municipalities and nagar panchayats have 1,111 wards: State Election Commissioner Anil Chandra Punetha
VIJAYAWADA: Photo electoral rolls for 41 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) covering 1,971 wards have been published by the State Election Commission (SEC) for the conduct of the second ordinary elections.
According to a release issued by State Election Commissioner Anil Chandra Punetha on Tuesday, the 12 municipal corporations have 860 wards, while 29 municipalities and nagar panchayats have 1,111 wards.
The 12 municipal corporations are Greater Visakhapatnam with 120 wards, Eluru 62, Machilipatnam 60, Vijayawada 86, Guntur 76, Ongole 62, Nellore 72, Tirupati 66, Chittoor 60, Kadapa 66, Anantapur 62 and Kurnool 68.
Among the municipalities and nagar panchayats, Parvathipuram has 36 wards, Salur 32, Narsipatnam 40, Pithapuram 36, Ramachandrapuram 32, Pedana 28, Jaggaiahpeta 36, Macherla 36, Sattenapalli 36, Chilakaluripet 48, Vinukonda 36, Chirala 44, Markapur 40, Puttur 36, Palamaneru 36, Nagari 40, Rayachoti 44, Proddatur 52, Pulivendula 40, Badvel 40, Jammalamadugu 32, Yerraguntla 28, Kamalapuram 23, Rayadurg 40, Tadipatri 48, Dharmavaram 48, Kadiri 44, Puttaparthi 28 and Nandyal 52.
