Andhra Pradesh Clears ₹919 Crore Dues to Private Hospitals
The arrear amounts were subsequently remitted to the hospitals’ bank accounts.
Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh government has released ₹919.13 crore to private hospitals providing healthcare services under the NTR Vaidya Seva scheme in the state.
After the state government assured private hospital managements that pending dues would be cleared, 782 out of 785 empanelled hospitals applied for payment of arrears through the AP Centre for Financial Systems and Services-Bill Discounting web portal. The arrear amounts were subsequently remitted to the hospitals’ bank accounts.
NTR Vaidya Seva Trust chief executive officer K.V.S. Chakradhar Babu informed the health minister about the development.
The alliance government has so far paid ₹5,556 crore to private hospitals affiliated with the NTR Vaidya Seva scheme, with the latest clearance of arrears worth ₹919.13 crore adding to the total.
