Arun Richard Takes Charge As Central GST Commissioner in Guntur
IRS officer to oversee GST operations across Andhra Pradesh districts
Vijayawada: Indian Revenue Service officer Arun Richard on Tuesday assumed charge as the new Commissioner of the Central GST Guntur Commissionerate at the GST headquarters in Kannavarithota, Guntur.
A 2007-batch IRS officer, Arun Richard, was earlier serving as Commissioner (Appeals) for Central Tax and Customs in the Visakhapatnam GST and Customs Zone, where he functioned as the appellate authority for five commissionerates before being transferred to Guntur.
The Central GST Guntur Commissionerate has jurisdiction over several districts in Andhra Pradesh, including Konaseema, Krishna, NTR, Eluru, Guntur, Bapatla, Palnadu, Prakasam, Nellore and Tirupati.
The Commissioner oversees five GST division offices and 36 GST range offices functioning under the commissionerate.
