VIJAYAWADA: Cooperation, trust, and strong professional relationships are cornerstones of a lasting success in business, renowned badminton coach and Padma Bhushan awardee Pullela Gopichand underlined at the BNI Andhra Pradesh Networking Conclave 4.0 held in Vijayawada on Sunday.

Addressing more than 1,500 entrepreneurs and industrialists as the chief guest of the conclave, Gopichand maintained that success, whether in life or business, begins with setting ambitious goals and pursuing them through systematic planning.

However, in a rapidly evolving business environment, entrepreneurs must change their mindset, adopt modern technology, and work smarter, rather than merely working longer hours, he observed, asking entrepreneurs to embrace innovation and adapt themselves to changing market trends.

The once ace player and now a successful coach observed that businesses can expand faster by effectively leveraging digital technology, artificial intelligence, data-driven decision-making, and innovative marketing strategies. He pointed out that improving efficiency through smart techniques has become the defining formula for success in today's competitive world.

Highlighting the importance of human relationships, he said a product or service alone cannot guarantee long-term success. Trust, customer relationships, public relations, and collaboration with fellow entrepreneurs play a far more significant role in building sustainable enterprises. Competition, he suggested, should be viewed as an opportunity to learn, rather than be treated as a source of hostility.

Gopichand emphasised that sharing experiences and learning from one another enable entrepreneurs to overcome challenges with confidence. He asked young entrepreneurs to continuously study changing market requirements, embrace new ideas, motivate their teams, and take timely decisions aligned with evolving customer expectations.

"Think big, work smart, build meaningful relationships; and success will follow you," the coach told the gathering.

Those who participated in the conclave included BNI Vijayawada chapter executive directors Jai Desai and Vishal Desai, MSME Expo Committee chairman Trinath Nanduri, convener B. Devakumar, secretary Lakshmi Shanthi Koganti, Conclave Committee chairman P. Yuvakishore, convener N. Nagarjuna, secretary Olas Gora, Job Mela Committee chairman Meghana Achanta and convener Bharat Surapaneni.
