AP Invites Citizens To Join Reel Contest on ASR International Airport
Citizens can showcase what the upcoming airport means to them and win special prizes.
Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh government has invited a state-wide contest for preparing a 30-second Instagram reel to celebrate the opening of Alluri Sitarama Raju (ASR) International Airport, which will fulfil the decades-long aspirations of the people from North Andhra.
The government asked people to submit either an individual selfie reel or a group reel featuring friends, family members, or colleagues on the theme – What does the ASR International Airport mean to you?
The participants must upload the reel on their personal Instagram account, tag @APOfficialNews, and use hashtags #ASRInternationalAirport and #UttarandhraKalalakuRekkalu.
The top five of the entries will be selected based on creativity, effectiveness of the message, audience reach, and engagement. Winners will receive special prizes. The last date for submitting the entries is July 29, 2026.
Calling it an opportunity for every citizen to become part of Andhra Pradesh's development story, the government appealed to students, youth, social media content creators, non-resident Andhras, people of North Andhra, and citizens across the state to "record, post, tag, and win" the contest, showcasing their pride in the upcoming international airport and highlighting the airport as a symbol of North Andhra's aspirations and future growth.
