Anantapur: Union Education Secretary T.K. Anil Kumar Praises AP School Reforms
Anil Kumar visited the AP Model School and Junior College and the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) at Jagarajupalli in Puttaparthi mandal, besides the Mandal Parishad Primary School in Puttaparthi.
Anantapur: Union education secretary T.K. Anil Kumar praised the educational reforms being implemented in Andhra Pradesh during his visit to government educational institutions in Sri Sathya Sai district on Friday.
Anil Kumar visited the AP Model School and Junior College and the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) at Jagarajupalli in Puttaparthi mandal, besides the Mandal Parishad Primary School in Puttaparthi.
At the AP Model School, he visited the Transformation Gallery showcasing development works and inspected the medical room, library, social science, physics, biology, STEM, vocational education and sports labs.
He interacted with students about the facilities and their use.
He also visited a Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Vidyarthi Mitra student kit stall and examined the notebooks, uniforms and shoes.
He enquired about the QR codes in textbooks and appreciated the biometric system used for transparent distribution of student kits.
Anil Kumar expressed satisfaction with the PAL Lab and digital teaching and learning facilities. He interacted with students through clicker-based assessments and assessed their understanding of subjects.
He also tasted millet chikki served under the Mid-Day Meal scheme and appreciated it. He inspected the sports ground and rainwater harvesting system and planted saplings on the school premises.
State project director, Samagra Shiksha, Andhra Pradesh, B. Srinivasa Rao and Sri Sathya Sai district Collector A. Shyam Prasad accompanied him.
