Alliance to Win in Local Body Elections: Subhash
The government, he said, stands firm on its decision to provide 33 per cent reservation for Backward Classes (BCs) in local body elections.
Kakinada:Labour minister Vasamsetti Subhash has said the alliance parties would sweep the civic and local body elections despite the YSRC “hatching conspiracies to win the polls.”
Subhash told the media at Madhavaryudupalem in Kadiyam mandal of East Godavari district on Sunday that the YSRC was trying to stall the elections by hook or by crook, but it would not succeed in such attempts. “The alliance government is taking up a lot of development work. New pensions would be sanctioned soon for the benefit of needy people,” he said.
The minister said construction of robust roads across districts would help improve the state’s transportation system. The government, he said, stands firm on its decision to provide 33 per cent reservation for Backward Classes (BCs) in local body elections.
Rajamahendravaram Rural MLA Gorantla Buchaiah Chowdary claimed massive support for the alliance government because of the implementation of the welfare schemes, despite the financial challenges the state faced over the past two and half years.
According to him, the workers of the Kadiyam paper mill were facing troubles from the management and said, “The labour minister must intervene and settle the issues.” Former deputy chairman of the legislative council, Reddy Subrahmanyam and others were present.
