₹2.5-Cr Upgrade Underway at Kurnool Outdoor Stadium:

Stating that the government is giving top priority to sports development, industries, commerce and food processing minister T.G. Bharath Gupta said infrastructure at the Kurnool outdoor stadium is being upgraded at a cost of ₹2.5 crore.

The minister inaugurated a newly constructed pickleball court at the stadium and said a synthetic walking track and a volleyball court are also being developed as part of the project.

“We are creating a world-class synthetic walking track for sportspersons in Kurnool. If required, additional funds will be sanctioned to further develop the stadium,” he said.

The minister also assured that steps would be taken to prevent encroachments on the STBC College grounds to improve sports facilities in the city.
