10 Critical After Eicher Vehicle Rams Into Hyderabad-Bengaluru Private Travels Bus

Anantapur: At least 10 passengers were seriously injured after an Eicher vehicle rammed into a private travel bus travelling from Hyderabad to Bengaluru on Pogururu Bridge, NH-44 in the early hours of Sunday.

The incident took place near Pogururu in Pamidi mandal of Anantapur district. The impact was so severe that both vehicles fell off the bridge.

A total of 40 passengers were on board the bus at the time of the accident.

Following the accident, police rushed to the spot and launched rescue operations. The injured passengers were pulled out of the bus and shifted to the Government Hospital in Pamidi for treatment.

The drivers of the bus and the Eicher vehicle were trapped inside their cabins and were rescued with the help of a JCB.

Later, the injured were shifted to a hospital in Anantapur for further medical care. Further details regarding the accident are awaited.
