VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh BJP president P.V.N. Madhav on Monday welcomed the Centre’s launch of the “Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojana (BHAVYA)” scheme with an outlay of `33,660 crore, saying it would strengthen India’s manufacturing sector and industrial infrastructure.

He said the initiative has been introduced under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Madhav said the Centre plans to develop 100 plug-and-play industrial parks across the country under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model over six years from 2026-27.

He said proposals have been invited from states in the first phase for 50 parks, of which 20 will be selected under a “challenge mode” process, followed by 30 more.

The parks will be developed as greenfield and brownfield projects over 100 to 1,000 acres, while hill states will require a minimum of 25 acres.

He said the Centre will provide financial assistance of up to `1 crore per acre for infrastructure development and `50 lakh per acre for private partnership projects.

Madhav said the cluster-based model would provide MSMEs, startups and investors with ready-to-use industrial ecosystems equipped with roads, power, water and logistics facilities.

He stated that the scheme aims to attract domestic and foreign investments, boost exports and reduce import dependence.

He added that the BHAVYA scheme is expected to generate nearly 15 lakh direct and indirect jobs and support the goals of “Atmanirbhar Bharat” and “Viksit Bharat 2047”.
