HYDERABAD: The foundation stone for the new mosque in the Telangana Secretariat premises to replace the one that was brought down last year during the demolition of the complex, will be laid along with those for a temple and church, legislative affairs minister V. Prashant Reddy informed the Legislative Assembly on Friday.

Prashant Reddy said Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao planned to start the work on all three houses of prayer at the same time. “The construction of all three will be completed before inauguration of the Secretariat,” the minister said.

Prashant Reddy was responding to questions from AIMIM members on when the foundation stone for the mosque will be laid. The Majlis MLAs wanted the same to be done before the month of Ramzan begins in mid-April.
