Telugu Desam men refute YSRC allegations

Kotappakonda (Guntur): The Telugu Desam leaders levelled allegations in the public meeting at Kotappakonda in Guntur district against opposition parties about creating hurdles for new capital Amaravati and AP development.

Minister for agriculture P. Pulla Rao predicted that people will teach a befitting lesson to YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. He claimed that the government is working for the development of AP and further establishing a world-class Amaravati capital with the cooperation of the public but the YSRC, Congress and other parties are creating hurdles.

Mr Pulla Rao claimed that temporary capital works at Velagapudi were on surge and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was keen to complete the works by June. He lamented that Mr Jagan was misleading the public about Amara-vati with false allegations.

He alleged that for the past four days, Mr Jagan’s Telugu newspaper was fuming poison on the government with false news. He claimed that development and welfare are two eyes of the government.

AP Women Commission chairperson N. Rajakumari, mentioning about the defaming of TD government by opposition parties on Amara-vati issue, asked the public to cooperate with the government without listening to false propaganda of the opposition parties.

Tadikonda MLA T. Srav-ankumar alleged political conspiracy in the AP state bifurcation.

Claiming that the Cong-ress successfully suppressed the separate state demands including Khali-stan, he alleged that the same Congress government divided AP to get political benefit. He appe-aled to the public to cooperate towards building a world-class Amaravati.

Mr Naidu also levelled allegations against YSRC but suddenly stopped stating that this is a government programme in which the Spe-aker was also present and hence he will resp-ond to opposition allegations soon.

TTD chairman Ch. Krishnamurthy, praising the efforts of Mr Naidu about developing AP, said that TTD will cooperate with the government towards turning the religious places into tourist centres.

Assembly Speaker K. Sivaprasada Rao, expla-ining about the second phase development of Kotappakonda, said that soon a ropeway would be available to the public to reach the hilltop.
