According to ANI, the meeting was convened to assess the security situation in these border states and ensure preparedness in light of the military escalation. The authorities discussed measures to strengthen border security, prevent any potential cross-border infiltration, and safeguard civilians. The operation was launched in retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people, mostly civilians.
