Amit Shah Chairs High-Level Meeting After Operation Sindoor

Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a meeting on Wednesday with Chief Ministers, District Commissioners of Police (DCPs), and Chief Secretaries of states bordering Pakistan and Nepal. The meeting, which followed India's midnight "Operation Sindoor," focused on the aftermath of the precision strikes that targeted nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). According to ANI, the meeting was convened to assess the security situation in these border states and ensure preparedness in light of the military escalation. The authorities discussed measures to strengthen border security, prevent any potential cross-border infiltration, and safeguard civilians. The operation was launched in retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people, mostly civilians.
