Sources said the Class 10 student had returned home with a new haircut, which was reportedly disapproved by his father, Keshab Mohanty. The disagreement escalated into a confrontation, during which the boy allegedly struck his father with a sharp object, causing injuries.
No formal police complaint was filed till this report was prepared. However, the episode sparked concern in the locality, with residents expressing alarm over the deteriorating parent-child dynamic and the growing influence of modern fashion trends.
