Visakhapatnam Port Authority workers demand solution to their problems

Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) workers have demanded that the employers take steps to solve their problems. The workers, who have played a key role in achieving the third rank of VPA among the major ports of thecountry, are unhappy with the way they are being treated.

M. Jaggu Naidu, honorary president of Visakha Port All Sidings and Godowns Workers Union affiliated to CITU, has raised the issue.

Naidu said that the workers are not being given any safety equipment and that they are being forced to work in dangerous conditions. He warned that if the employers do not take steps to address the problems of the workers, there will be agitation.
