Military Hospital in Secunderabad holds cycle rally on eve of World Cancer Day

Hyderabad: Military Hospital, Secunderabad, held a cycle rally on Friday, the eve of World Cancer Day on Saturday, with personnel carrying placards with information about the disease. The ribbon was cut by the youngest soldier and the rally was flagged off by Col. Dr Nikhat Jahan, intensivist, Military Hospital Secunderabad.

Posters regarding cancer were displayed in the hospital grounds and all personnel took a pledge to avoid the use of tobacco and alcohol.

A poster competition was organised for the children of the unit personnel.  Lt Col Shweta Prasad gave a lecture followed by a question and answer session at the MCEME auditorium, Secunderabad. It was attended by over 150 serving personnel.

Students of School of Nursing Military Hospital, Secunderabad, presented a high-impact mime on the theme of cancer prevention and the importance of imbibing a healthy lifestyle. The hospital is holding a cancer screening camp tomorrow in the hospital premises.
