Kodandaram farmers are hit in Telangana

Mr Kodandaram said that JAC leaders were not even allowed to eat on Sunday by the police who tried in vain to create obstructions.

Hyderabad: Telangana JAC chairman Prof. Kodandaram slammed the TRS government for causing hardships to lakhs of farmers in the name of irrigation projects.

The suicides by farmers and the pain suffered by their families will not be good for Telangana state, he said.

JAC members led by Kodandaram held ‘Amarula Spoorthi Yatra’ in Chief Minister’s constituency Gajwel on Sunday evening. He was critical of the government for taking up irrigation projects without proper surveys as farmers are likely to lose livelihood.

Mr Kodandaram said that JAC leaders were not even allowed to eat on Sunday by the police who tried in vain to create obstructions. 

The JAC chairman was highly critical of the administration for taking lakhs of unemployed youth for a ride in the name of jobs.
