Hyderabad: The government’s decision to hold back one day’s salary of employees has led to friction between the General Administration and finance departments.

Employees had gone on mass casual leave on September 1 in protest against a new pension scheme. This led to the state government deciding to hold back one day’s salary.

The finance department says the casual leave issue comes under GAD, which in turn says mass casual leave amounts to a strike and it should be dealt with by the finance department.

The government has decided to hold back a day’s salary of all those who went on casual leave that day.
