Told PM Modi BS Yeddyurappa is doing wrong: Mallikarjun Kharge

Mr Kharge said he had an opportunity to meet the PM on Wednesday in Delhi.

Bengaluru: Congress party leader in the Lok Sabha M. Mallikarjun Kharge said that he had told Prime Minister, Narendra Modi during a meeting that what  state BJP president B.S. Yeddyurappa was doing was wrong.

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a function held by the social welfare department, Mr Kharge said he had an opportunity to meet the PM on Wednesday in Delhi. 

“Mr Modi asked me what was happening in Karnataka? I told him, we have a coalition government and what you did in Goa, we have done in Karnataka.”

Mr Kharge further said that he had told Mr Modi that what Mr Yeddyurappa was doing was wrong. 

“It is unconstitutional to bring down a democratically elected government. I told Modiji that Mr Yeddyurappa would not succeed. I also told him that it is unconstitutional to engage in such acts," he said. He however did not elaborate on what  Mr Modi said in reply to his observations.
