Bengaluru: Lottegollahalli where voting was stopped after voters complained of faulty EVMs and VVPATs , saw a repoll on Monday with voters queueing up at several booths right from 7 am to cast their votes.

Among those standing in line to cast their votes was Congress spokesperson, Brijesh Kalappa, who was among the first to tweet about the malfunctioning of the EVMs and the resulting chaos at the polling booth. Seven hundred and seventy votes were polled on Monday. Of them, 379 were men and 391 female.

With the Election Commission clarifying that the VVPATs were generating paper slips even before anyone could register their votes as the button next to the serial number 9  was stuck, indelible ink was applied on the left-hand middle finger of people, who had already cast their vote on May 12. Of the 1,444 people who voted that day, 740  were male and 704  female, according to the Election Commission.
