Candidates resign from Telangana government posts

As the Representation of the Peoples Act prohibits the persons contesting elections.

Hyderabad: The chairmen of various government corporations of the Telangana State have submitted their resignations from their posts as they have received the B forms from TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao to contest the upcoming state Assembly elections.

As the Representation of the Peoples Act prohibits the persons contesting elections to hold posts for office for profit T. Venkateswarlu, chairman of the Tribal Cooperative and Finance Corporation, chairman of the Musi, Premsingh Rathore, chairman of River Front Development Corporation, P. Sudarshan Reddy, chairman of Civil Supplies Corporation, Ali Baqri, chairman of SETWIN and Singireddy Niranjan Reddy, deputy chairman of Telangana Planning Commission have submitted resignations.
