Nalgonda jail gets petrol bunk

Hyderabad: Prisons’ DG V.K. Singh on Friday said the department tasting success in reforming prisoners.

While inaugurating a petrol bunk at Nalgonda district jail, he said the facility would be run by prisoners with good conduct.

He said the petrol bunk at Nalgonda was the third to be run by prisoners in the state. “We have petrol bunks at the Cherlapalli open air jail and Chanchalguda. They are being run by open air jail prisoners. We have provided jobs to released prisoners at these bunks,” he said.

Collector P. Satyanarayana Reddy, SP Vikramjeet Duggal, prisons’ DIG A. Narasimha were present.
