Police probing whether Jesna Maria James left country

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As part of the efforts to trace the missing 20-year-old girl Jesna Maria James of Vechoochira in Pathanamthitta, the special investigation team is also examining whether she left the country. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan told the Assembly on Monday that the investigation team was in touch with the regional passport officials to verify this.

The police was putting in all efforts to trace her. So far over one lakh mobile phone calls were checked and searches were held at various states, he said. Poonjar MLA P C George, who raised a submission on the matter, said that the family member of Jesna maybe also interrogated to bring out the truth.
