BENGALURU:  Mystery shrouds the death of a 46-year-old man, whose body was found on B.B. Road, next to Kodigehalli flyover on Monday night. While the police suspect it may be a case of suicide, his wife has lodged a hit-and-run complaint.

A team of FSL experts from Madiwala visited the spot and collected details, including that of his two-wheeler. According to the Yelahanka traffic police, there was no scratch or damage to the vehicle and the deceased, identified as Anjaneya B.C, might have committed suicide by jumping from a height of 100 feet off the flyover.

When the police rushed to the spot, Anjaneya’s vehicle was parked on the side of the road. The body bore injuries on back of the head and lower part, said the police.

Anjaneya, a resident of Sahakaranagar, was running pest control business. He hailed from Chitradurga and was married to Susheela and they had two children.
On Monday night, Anjaneya left his house to meet someone for business purpose on his T.V.S. bike towards Yelahanka. Investigations revealed that the incident took place around 9.20 pm and came to light around 9.45 pm after locals noticed Anjaneya’s body lying in pool of blood and informed the control room.

“When the police reached the spot the bike was parked at the corner of the road and there was no damage to the bike. Police suspect that the deceased might have jumped to death. But, Anjaneya’s wife said that her husband could not commit suicide and filed a complaint of hit and run,” said a police officer.
The Yelahanka traffic police are waiting for FSL reports, which will be out only after three days. Yelahnaka traffic police have registered a case.
