New Delhi: Moving beyond dominant defense ties, Russia is aiming at widening its trade relations with India in other areas as well. Moscow’s leading high-tech companies are in New Delhi to showcase products at the first Innoprom.India exhibition. They include manufacturers of medical equipment, collaborative robots, transport digitalisation solutions, LCD displays and non-destructive testing equipment.

Innoprom.India is International Industrial Trade Fair for developing international cooperation between India and Russia. The event that began on Wednesday showcases a broad range of Russian technologies, including industrial equipment and solutions for transport, nuclear energy, space, artificial intelligence, urban infrastructure, finance and other areas. The exhibits include a model nuclear power plant equipped with a VVER-1200 reactor unit; models of the MC-21-310, SJ-100 and Il-114-300 aircraft; a model of the PD-8 turbofan engine; a model of a high-speed train developed as part of a joint Russian-Indian production project.

“We are supporting the development of trade and economic relations with India. The capital has traditionally ranked first among Russia’s regions in terms of trade: in the first half of 2026, Moscow accounted for 45 per cent of Russia’s trade with India.
