Adani investments in Telangana: KTR slams Revanth

Hyderabad: The BRS on Thursday attacked the Congress government in the state for inviting the Adani Group to invest in Telangana and targeted Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy while recalling that Reddy had attacked Adani in the past.

“The Congress must explain this change of heart. Revanth Reddy had called Adani a thief before the elections. Now, he is making friends with Adani in Davos. These are opportunistic and gutter politics by Congress,” said BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao.

“In Delhi, the Congress fights with Adani, and here it wants to work with him. The Congress must explain this exception,” Rao demanded.

It may be recalled that the Adani Group and the Telangana government signed four MoUs in Davos on Wednesday with Adani promising to investRs 12,400 crore in the state in the next few years.

Addressing a meeting of party leaders from Mahbubnagar Lok Sabha constituency, Rao claimed that “the Congress actions here are clearly being directed by the BJP.”

Rao said “the BRS government handed over the state on a golden platter by creating assets worth thousands of crores.”

He called on party workers to remind people constantly about the various promises made by the Congress party in its election manifesto and make it accountable to the people.
