For a regular teenager, getting into university is a big deal in itself. Now imagine attending class and then finding out that the person sitting next to you is some kid who’s just 11. You’d probably feel like an under-achiever of sorts, right? Well, that’s exactly what Cigdem Kahyaoglu, a 19-year-old second year maths and pre-med student, felt when she attended her organic chemistry lecture recently.

For those who are curious, 11-year-old Daniel Liu, was the youngest ever Chemical Educational Foundation’s National Challenge Champion in 2015. He received his $10,000 scholarship prize at the White House Science Fair in April this year.
