You never know how many people's lives you can touch by making a simple sacrifice. When Gravity Payments CEO Dan Price decided to take a pay cut in order to raise the minimum salary at his firm, his grateful employees repaid the gesture by getting him his dream car – a flashy new Tesla Model S.

It was last April when Dan Price decided to raise the minimum salary at Gravity Payments to $70,000. This impacted some employees to such an extent that their salaries almost doubled. However, he had to cut down his own salary from $1.1 million to $70,000 in order to make this feasible.

The idea for the thank-you gift came from Alyssa O’Neal, a 24-year-old single mother, who was among those that greatly benefited from the salary hike. Check out Dan’s emotional reaction after seeing his present for the first time.
