The baby faces shortness of breath owing to fluid collection in her chest and abdomen.

Life was normal for Anitha, until her little daughter Vyga turned two months old. Incessant cough and cold taught them the tough lesson that the kid suffers from Pancreatitis, a life-threatening disease. If there is anything that could help the mother and child out of the trauma, it is a wad of currency notes amounting to Rs 10 lakh. Apart from this, there is a debt of Rs 3 lakh the family has suffered.

The baby faces shortness of breath owing to fluid collection in her chest and abdomen. The way ahead is a surgery to seal the fluid accumulation. The single mother has been dependent on her age-old parents since her husband deserted her while she was expecting. The grandparents of the child could not even run their petty shop for they need to spend as much time to take care of her. Since eight months, they have been moving from pillar to post to find the money to save her. Anitha had quit her job as a nurse during pregnancy and is now trying to find a replacement to eke out a living and bear the treatment expenses for her daughter.
