The most haunted house in Britain is up for sale after its owner claimed that she was haunted by the ghosts in the house.

Vanessa Mitchell, 43, in 2004 shifted to a new house known as the 'Cage' but she wasn’t aware of the spooky story of the house. She brought the house for £148,000 and said that was never informed about the paranormal activity.

Since the time Mitchell has moved in to this place a number of ghostly figures, been pushed over while heavily pregnant, smacked on the arse by an invisible hand and seen mysterious blood splatters appear on the floor, The Mirror report.

This property has a history, it was a medieval prison and also has a ghastly history. According to reports it hosted one of England’s most famous witch hunts where eight women died after being accused of witchcraft in the 16th Century.

Mitchell is the longest-lasting owner of this place and has lived at this place for 11 years. The previous owners sold the place within four years.

Cage is going up for auction after Mitchell came across a CCTV footage and saw what is describes as a face of a demonic goat, she believes the house has a dark spirit.

‘I’m selling the house now because the house is getting worse, we’re catching evidence all the time of the tortured spirits inside. I’ve had every medium, psychic and investigator in there to try and get rid of what’s in there,’ Mitchell told the Metro.UK.
