Going on an international trip is definitely one of the holiday agendas that everyone has. Different people have their own choices of countries and places they would love to visit. However, there are certain basic things that every first-timer must keep in mind before heading for an international trip.

The first and foremost thing that is required for international trips is the passport. Make sure it isn’t about to get expired. If it is, get it renewed before you leave. Getting the visa for the country you are traveling to is the next important factor to be considered. Different countries have their own procedures and time period for issuing the visa. While some issue visa on arrival, others have the e-visa facility. Countries like the US have a very strict process for issuing the visa.

Look out for travel warnings and advisories, if any. Some countries might issue special warnings for tourists and it is your responsibility to follow them strictly when you are in that country.

Check the website of Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, where, against each country, all the necessary vaccinations and prescriptions that the tourists are required to have are given.

Do not forget to fill your wallet with the currency of the place you are travelling to. Carry less cash and opt for a Forex card. Debit and credits cards can also be used in times of emergency. nPack appropriately. Do not carry everything in your closet because it will be a headache to drag heavy luggage through airports.
