Fever cases increase in Hyderabad after heavy rains

Hyderabad: More than 1,500 patients visited the Fever Hospital on Monday, indicating a rise in cases of viral fever after the heavy rains.

Further evaluation is required for more than 50 cases and blood samples have been taken. Of these, 10 cases of dengue are suspected and doctors have admitted two patients with very high fever.

While the city is still coming to terms with the recent rain damage, a big threat that has emerged is that of mosquitoes due to inundated plots. In Alwal, Kapra, Nacharam and Maula Ali, all open plots are inundated.
