It may look like a dance or a funny time pass activity. The exercise helps individuals to focus extremely if they are looking to add a low-impact high-energy aquatic exercise, which trainers think is perfect as a fitness routine. As the experts say, ‘Just Add Water and Shake’. You don’t feel the energy is draining out of you even though movement in water is not as easy as it looks.  

Aqua Zumba, according to the experts, blends the Zumba philosophy with water resistance. Unlike routine fitness classes, the format of the masterclass is ‘to burn exactly 1,000 calories in an hour’s workout’.  “Compared to the other workout formats, Aqua Zumba yields the maximum result,” says dancer Jagan. How many calories you will lose depends upon your attentiveness in class, how much you are interacting with the instructor, the level of concentration you are attaining and with how much enthusiasm you are doing the exercise while following Zumba master’s instructions.  

The Park organised an Aqua Zumba masterclass event by Zin Jagan, a 60-minute fitness session, which saw a record number of 55 people willing to try out the Zumba.  There is no age bar for joining these classes. If you are 8-plus, you are eligible for water Zumba.
