This October, Bumble’s Bee Line brings together women from different fields to share their perspectives on the questions and dilemmas shaping modern dating, through a social-first advice series that puts real-life dating scenarios at the centre of the conversation.
The first host of Bee Line India, Janhvi Kapoor, brings her candid personality and distinctive perspective to the series, sharing her take on the questions, dilemmas and situations that come with dating today. From navigating first-date expectations to decoding red flags, icks and the unwritten rules of meeting someone new, the series opens up conversations that feel familiar to anyone navigating the modern dating scene. Drawing on real questions submitted by daters across India, Bee Line brings a fresh, personality-led take to the dilemmas that often begin in group chats but rarely have easy answers.

Joining Janhvi in the series are three-time table tennis Olympian Manika Batra and rapper Reble, each bringing a distinct point of view shaped by her own world. Together, the three hosts explore the nuances of modern dating, from figuring out what you want to recognizing what you don't, offering different perspectives on the situations that come with meeting people and building connections.

Launching in India on October 17th, Bee Line will roll out through individual episodes, beginning with Janhvi Kapoor, followed by Reble and Manika Batra. The series builds on Bee Line’s US debut earlier this summer and its international expansion into Australia last month, featuring Grammy-nominated artist Troye Sivan sharing his take on dating.
With Bee Line India, Bumble brings dating dilemmas out of the group chat, into open and creating room for candid, honest opinions on modern-day dating today. With Janhvi Kapoor kicking things off, the series starts with the questions many people have about dating but don't always know who to ask.
For Jahnvi Kapoor, that starts with knowing what you want and being unapologetically yourself. As she puts it: ““I’m a hopeless romantic with very high standards, which is a lot. So, I’ve always been the friend people call about their dating dilemmas. What I love about Bee Line is the questions come straight from real people. One of them was so unhinged I had to phone my sister for a second opinion. But most of the time they just need someone to say the honest things out loud, so whoever’s calling feels heard and hopefully a bit more sorted. And with the other two picking up their own calls and answering in their own way, it makes for a much more fun watch.”

Manika Batra brings the mindset of an elite athlete to the conversation, with a focus on independence, individuality and finding someone who backs you: “Coming from the world of sport, I’ve always understood the importance of focus, independence and knowing what you want. The best coaches back you without trying to change you, and the right person is the same. Someone who respects who you are and supports the person you are becoming, rather than asking you to compromise who you are. Doing Bee Line alongside two women from very different worlds was a good reminder that there isn’t one definition of dating, and that’s what makes the conversation so interesting.”

And for Reble, it comes down to dropping the act. Her perspective is rooted in showing up as your full self, quirks, ambitions, vulnerabilities and all: "I feel like sometimes we try way too hard to look unbothered when really we’re just overthinking it all in our heads. I do think it’s always better to just ask the honest questions and be prepared for the answers, even if sometimes it’s not exactly what you wanna hear. That’s what I like about Bee Line. It’s just honest dating advice. No overcomplicating things, no sugar-coated answers. Just telling you how it is."
Together, that’s Bee Line India: three women looking at modern dating from different angles, laughing at the chaos, and giving daters room to recognize a little of their own experience along the way.
