Entrepreneurship is often pegged as the millennial’s answer to independence and self discovery. Yet, again, there’s no refuting that the idea calls for you to pull up your socks and get things rolling   – teamed with steely determination and an indomitable spirit. Treading along similar lines, Anujna Ravikumar, a 25 year old city-based wedding planner has etched out with an all new photography venture.

Having joined hands with three other photography enthusiasts in town, Chandru, Shreyas Yadav and Hari Krishna, this initiative is garnering momentum for all the right reasons.

In addition to offering portfolio shoots and other assignments at reasonable prices, the young team intends on supporting photography enthusiasts in town by offering sessions, professional tips and guidance through their official Facebook page for free of cost. In a candid chat, the team tell us more...

“Through my Facebook page, I wish to get people to sit up, and learn a thing or two about photography, which they otherwise wouldn’t have. Picking up a DSLR isn’t the only pre-requisite, learning about the angles, the accuracy of lighting and other aspects are crucial. And that’s exactly what we wish to throw light on,” shares Anujna.

The free online sessions will answer queries and also offer lesser-known hacks by the young team. There will also be a one-on-one video call sessions to help people understand the subject from a deeper level.  “There’s always a cost constraint for most youngsters, which deters them from picking up a new skill. If photography is your passion, feel free to bombard us with queries. On our page, we will also have detailed techniques illustrated through video sessions,” explains  Shreyas.

Enthusing how it was their common love for capturing innate emotions that got it started, Chandru adds, “I’ve always been observant of people’s emotions. I was going through a rough patch and devoting my focus to gauging people’s moods and letting in reflect in my pictures was the deciding factor.” Echoing similar lines, Shreyas and Hari Krishna believe it is the power of the lens, which propels to be their biggest inspiration. “Inspiration exists all around us. It just takes the right amount of focus and vision to capture and celebrate it. And, that’s exactly what we wish to achieve through the process,” they opine.

Barely out of college, this month old idea marks their first innings into entrepreneurship. Speaking about what’s next on the cards, Shreyas concludes by stating, “ We want to be a part of a radical shift in the general perception towards photography. We aim to achieve and help people achieve just that, for free.”
